Participation in athletics at St. Timothy’s School promotes healthy and positive habits that benefit young women throughout their lives. By engaging in athletics, students develop key values such as teamwork, discipline, resilience, sportsmanship, personal excellence, courage, humility, grace under pressure, and respect for others.
As part of the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland (IAAM), St. Tim's coaches and students work together to compete successfully with 30 area high schools in basketball, field hockey, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, riding, soccer (indoor and outdoor), softball, squash, tennis, volleyball, and badminton. Both competitive and non-competitive physical activity is an important part of life at St. Tim’s. Our state-of-the-art fitness center includes a weight training and cardio facility, a 90-foot regulation basketball court, training room, and team locker rooms. Students enjoy competing in our indoor and outdoor riding rings, six tennis courts, and on our soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, and softball fields.
